Classes are 1 hour 15 minutes long, students need to enroll in 3 classes. At the end of the enrollment question page please click "Add - Continue to Shop" to add additional classes for the student. Classes and selections will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
If students are eligible for Free or Reduced Lunch, SLI registration fees will be reduced at checkout. All fees must be paid by May 29, 2024
General Expectations - Except as noted below, students and staff are expected to follow the same rules, regulations and policies established by School District 8 during the regular school year (this includes dress code). If there are any changes or additions to these policies, the SLI Principal, Louann Guiden, will inform students and parents as soon as possible. Attendance - The Summer Learning Institute offers a valuable educational experience. Because of the short nature of SLI, the expectation is for students to attend the entire session. Students may be absent two days. Upon the third absence, the student may be dropped from the class. Please consider attendance requirements when enrolling students in SLI.
Behavior - Expectations for behavior and attitude are the same as during the regular school year. Any behavior that detracts from the teaching/learning experience will not be tolerated. Teachers may refer students to the SLI Principal. Upon the third referral, the student will be dropped from the SLI program. The principal of the SLI has the right to drop the student on the first or second referral if warranted. Refunds will not be given for students who are dismissed for discipline or attendance infractions. Students will be held responsible for the use and care of school laptops and are subject to fines and disciplinary action for improper use. Food is not allowed in the classroom; water bottles are permitted.
Log into the Parent Portal (Infinite Campus) to find your student's ID number. Once in Infinite Campus click on "TODAY", the ID number will be below the students name. If you need assistance re-setting your Parent Portal, please call the help desk at 719-382-1608.
